Peach, Impeach, I-pitch.

Sickness, when it strikes close family, is always a heavy burden to carry. But when sickness is caused by carelessness ( poor diet, lack of exercise, indifference to doctor's advise), the load becomes doubly hard to bear.

Thanks to timely intervention, all creases are being slowly ironed out, and the color of Toyz' cheeks are turning into peach again.

Lately, the household has been tuning in regularly to the impeachment trial of the Chief Justice. Our television set has flipped channels a thousand times, from PTV channel 6 and DZMM Teleradyo to ANC Skycable 27 and GMA channel 24.

I personally like the government channel of PTV because it assembles a forum consisting of students, journalists, defense and prosecution members, and knowledgaeble law practisioners such as Rene Saguisag.  GMA 24 also consistently invites panelists such as Raul Pangalangan and Chief Justice Artemio Panganiban and even UP Law professor Vicky Avena.

Although a lot of times, we get frustrated with how slow and stalled the impeachment trial has become, we still tune in day in and night out. If watching the proceeding on TV is not enough, we turn to numerous blogs to follow insights from the general populace.

Of late, I've discovered and followed the blogs of raissa robles, ellen tordessilas, rappler.com and the PCIJ, because the broadsheets do not provide the deep and intelligent analysis we expect of journalists. I admire de Quiroz, Saguisag, Montelibano, Panganiban, Neal Cruz, Ducky Paredes and Macasaet for their commentaries, and Dahlee Aspillera.

Occasionally, I pitch my opinion in several blogs and newspaper commentaries, under numerous handles. It is my way of contributing to the judicial/political process going on in the country right now.
